Hi Tom,

1. Launch Winamp.

2. Press ctrl+p for preferences.

3. Arrow to file types.

4. Tab to all and press space.

5. Tab to the restore file associations on start up checkbox and press space to
check it if it is not already checked.

If you find later that there are some file types that you don't want to default
to Winamp, you can individually unselect them in the
list of file types.

There is also the program Winamp Agent which is supposed to stop other programs
from grabbing Winamp defaults, but I have chosen to
not run it. Perhaps others can comment on the merits or otherwise of Winamp
Agent.

Regards,
Barry Chapman

Subject: Refresher: How To Make Winamp Defaault Player

I am sure I've heard before how this procedure works, but need to hear again,
just in case I may accidentally make something else
the "default player" as my "player of choice" is Winamp! So in case this
should happen, what is the procedure for making Winamp the
"default player?
Thanks,
Tom Kaufman
