Hi!

I don't know whether this would be of any use but I have several multi channel "DTS" CD'S here, if this Bose system has a DVD as part of it or can connect a DVD through a digital in then you'll be able to make use of these "DTS" recorded CD'S.

I can sedn 1 to you using Dropbox though you'll need some CD ripping software at the other end - in other words on your computer - to burn the CD, I recommend Exact Audio Copy or Easy CD DA extractor.

So once you pop this CD into a DVD player - most are equipped with DTS decoders - you'll be able to enjoy the CD in multi channel audio, surround-sound, call it what you will.

So if this helps the person concerned then please email me privately and we'll see what can be done.

I stress, these CD'S don't work on a standard CD player, all you'l lget is white noise.

When I tried out the Bose Lifestyle V35, I used the light saber fight in
Attack of the Clones. There's good surround sou nd to that. It truly shows
how each speaker has it's own assignment and everything. Jurrasic park has
good surround sound to it too. I used some chapters from it to try out the
V35 too. I love the V35, and to bring this a little bit closer to the main
idea of this list, this is the system I hope to use for my media center PC
but I don't know if I have the PC send audio threw the HDMI port, will I
get Jaws. But yeah, there are some ideas. Even Godzilola 1998 has good
sounds to it too. The one where Godzilla shows up in new York. As for your
second question goes, no well at least the manual for DVD Audio extractor
says that MP3 can't handle 5.1 surround sound. Ogg Vorbis can though.

Subject: Seeking Surround Sound File to demonstrate Bose system

First question is can 5.1 surround sound be played via an MP3 file?
Also, I'm looking for a very rich audio file to play for someone to
demonstrate the surround sound features of my Bose system. It came with a
DVD with some good audio on it, but it's not very blind-friendly.
I'd like suggestions of either a classical music recording, nature
recording, or anything else that really accentuates surround sound.

Thanks for any suggestions. PS: I'm particularly interested in something I
can purchase from iTunes or download elsewhere.
