Subject: Finding voice memos on iPod touch?

I recorded a voice memo with my iPod Touch. I hooked up the iPod to the PC, but where do I find the recording so I can play it with Winamp, Total Recorder etc? Is there an easy way to find things on an iPod, such as a program that will make the iPod show up in Windows Explorer rather than using that aweful iTunes?
