well, it all depends on which sound card you have, if you have a sound card with mini tele plugg, then you can go directly, make sure that your tape deck has RCA connections, then you only need a cable which contains, 2 RCA cables in the first end, and then in the other end, you should have a plugg which looks like a headphone plugg for headphones for mp3 players or old walkman machines.
