Well while we're talking "Tapin Radio" here, can anyone tell me why I can't
get the scheduler to work? I just updated to the latest version, thinking
maybe that would work; no soap! As far as I can tell (and I demonstrated
how I was setting up a scheduled event for a friend of mine) she tells me I
did everything right; still..no soap! Any ideas?

Gordon thank you it just may be the problem.
I use an emagic USB sound card so this may be the problem.

Hi
I had this problem a while ago with Tapin radio and PHilip the creator of it
went a long way to getting it to work for me even updating the programme a
couple of times. Hopefully the following will help.
1. Make sure you've the latest version
2. Unfortunately I've had a hard drive crash and can't install Tapin radio
at present so I'm going from memory - if what I say from now on doesn't fit
with the programme options give me a day or so and I'll be exact) Some sound
cards seem to work on different bit rates and although mine was new it
didn't work. Philip put an option into the Advanced options to allow
different soundcards (older ones and newer ones) to access the sound. Once
you tick this box - it's the difference between 32 and 16 bit - once the box
is ticked (or if it's ticked then unticked) your soundcard should give out
the sound.) I apologise that I can't be exact but I thought it might just be
clear enough to get you going. I should be up and running in a day or so. If
you contact Philip at the support in Tapin radio I'm sure he'll be able to
guide you more exactly if my instructions don't work.

Thanx folks!
I can now get to the correct station and press enter on it but there is no
sound. The volume control is set to 100 percent and it is not muted. When
I enter on the play button it says play stop play stop.
I tried this on a few stations with the same result.

Here are a couple more tips:
Tab to the first search and press the enter key, moving down you will see a
list of countries, genres, networks, etc.
Select one with the enter key and press tab once and you will be in a list
box of tons of stations which you can select with the enter key.
This is a little bit to get you started.

I've just started using Tappin Radio myself, so I'm no expert! But here's a
few things that might get you going; first of all, what you type into that
"edit" field must be a station that's on Tappin Radio. Once you've found a
station, you then can put it into "favorites." Then, if you want that
station to come up again, you can go to your "Favorites list" (alt-A) and
arrow to that station; then press enter or the space bar and the station
will come up! You might want to play with the menus as you may be able to
figure out more things; I know that there's a "genre" thing, but I can't
remember off the top of my head exactly how you get to it! But good luck as
I think this is a neat little program; I like the fact that you can record a
station and still continue to do whatever you want with your computer; your
sound card won't get on your recording!

Hi folks
Just downloaded tapin radio and want to get started with it. When opening
the programme, I get an edit field and a few buttons such as play, search,
etc.
I'm not sure exactly how to get started with this thing. I would need to
rather urgently do some recordings from radio stations. The interface looks
pretty ordinary but when I type something into the enter field and either
enter or press space bar on the search field, absolutely nothing happens.
Using Jaws 12.0 with windows xp.
Is there some kind of tutorial or help file on how to use this programme?
