Thanks Tim. You're right - I've just heard from Sennheiser. It's a shame -
they're great on the computer and with my voice recorder etc. Sennheiser
have recommended the HMD 280 dnamic mike or HME 26 + cableX3k1-p48
(phantom powered), both quite expensive. Do you know either of them or any
other which will give broadcast or near broadcast quality for radio work
using a mixer?

They won't work directly into your mixer. They're designed to plug either
into a recorder or
