I'm out of luck.
sony says that They have no parts to repaair the recorder.
My local shop here in hartford says they can't do it either.
The was a place called
porter electronics, but there's no phone mumber for them and I don't know
where they are.
The might be in england, but that's just a guess.
Is there any that makes a equivelent machine some where?.

That's probably your best bet, the only other alternative I can think of
is a small Street repairer but they're very hard to come by these days at
least in Australia and very sadly missed.

Okay by Sony Walkman Pro, are you referring to the Sony WMD6 cassette
corder? That's the only Sony Walkman Pro I know of.
I have one of these, I bought it 16 years ago, its a tried and true
performer, i think its been around for a quarter of a century or more in
various versions, have you asked Sony if they'll repair it? Of course it
may be a problem getting parts now as they've been out of production for
at least 10 years.
