This drive seems to be empty; I'm assuming if it had u-3 on it this would
show up in propertys.

The U.3 application needs to be removed for the drive to work. Although I
couldn't recall its name when I wrote before, I had it on my first thumb
drive. I googled the solution of how to remove it, which involves an
extraction program you obtain from the Net. It didn't take long, and then
the drive worked fine with the DTB player.

If memory serves me, a U.3. smart drive doesn't work in the digital players
and some other kinds of Thumb drives will not work either. I am not sure of
the ones that will not work.
