the Zoom H1 works?
I tryed to get that podcast, and the silly thing would not come up for some

Yes it does but it doesn't have voice activation or Daisy playback so if
those functions are important to you then go for the DM4, if you couldn't
give a damn about speech, voice activation, Daisy playback and just want a
high quality recorder then go for the Zoom H1 and if you want to do better
than that then the Sony PCMD50.
