Hi, Rick. The two I saw were the 600 and the 700. What I noticed is that they have two buttons on top with three below that. Besides the activities buttons, one of the five buttons is a help button and one is a more activities button. The 600 does five activities and is the $99 one, I think and the 700 was on sale today at best buy for $620. There is also a $39 model, which I think is a 500, but not sure. I assume that if you press the more activities button that listen to music, watch tv and play a dvd change to two or three other activities depending on which model you have. I have been thinking of getting a universal remote for years. For my wife and I to watch a blu-ray, we have to use one remote to turn on the TV, one to turn on the surround system and one to turn on the blu-ray player. Yes. We probably could have gotten these remotes set up to work with the various items, but we never took the time<grin>. It would be nice to have just one remote. It would be really neat if it could also control my new apple TV. Am I correct on how the more activities button works? Thanks.

The Harmony remote I have is the model 659. I actually have 2 of them and once set up, it is very accessible. You just have to make sure not to not get one of their touch screen models but I believe they have several models that are all button based. I know the 6xx and 7xx and I think the 5xx series are all button based. They do have a display however but that hasn't been a real problem for me so far since I mainly use the activity buttons and they each perform a specific task like watching tv, watch dvd, etc. I'm not familiar with all of their latest models, but I have found Harmony tech support to be extremely friendly and helpful. If you give them a call, I'm sure they can tell you which models are button based. Regarding the price, I got mine as refurbs and have never had any issues. My particular model the 659 was $60. A Google search will turn up refurbished models for sure. How much did that Harmony remote cost? Is there a particular model number which is accessible for blind users once you get it set up? I have been thinking of getting a universal remote for a few years, but didn't know if there was one I could use once set up. Thanks.
