Hello Collin, the settings are set to average. I did used to be able to record in stereo until I reinstalled the drivers, so it isn't a problem with the mic or line-in cable .

H. Lawrence's Women in Love, is definitely stereo, it is on at 10:00 GMT repeated next morning at 03:00 GMT but, of course, is available via the IPlayer, link for the second part broadcast early this morning is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007jrcj and for the third part broadcast at 10:00 this morning is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007k1yl I am wondering if you have your setting correct in the device properties tab - boxes are (in V5.58): Playback device, playback quality, playback prebuffer/latency, playback alternative initialization, record device, record quality, then the setting which you may have wrong, it should be set to average, it controls the way goldWave records mono, meaning when recording in mono, you can have it take from left, right or average over the chanels, so worth giving this a thought. Is your sound card working only on a single jack acting as line in / mike in? Often, these are mono mike in, maybe there is a fault in the card. But, if I were you, don't bother with GoldWave to record dramas from the net, use total Recorder, it's so much better and made for the job. >From Colin Howard, for whom a small place near Southampton in Southern England, has the doubtful honour of providing a home.
