It sounds to me like you want to make a slideshow presentation and burn it to DVD. open office might work for you. I am not familiar enough with the program to say how accessible it is however.

Hi I did in the past come across a program which let you add pictures and enter the amount of time it would display for and also it was a wizard and after choosing the picture settings then let you choose the screan size and add music etc. I think it was called, Movie editor. but it wasn't free. also I don't know about the exporting side of it but I think power point will do this with pictures and music but this isn't blind friendly with my experience but I haven't used it much there could be a way around it with getting to the buttons with a screan reader vertual mouce. I just went to google and typed in, video editing software and it offered me that program and that program which I think was, movie editor was almost 100% blind friendly except backgrounds I think because I was going to use it myself.

Hi folks. OK, I have a project in mind that is going to be very
challenging, especially when I haven't a clue where to start nor how to
progress. I could I guess get a professional company to do it for me but
there would be a certain satisfaction if I could do it myself with a bit of
help from my P.A.

This is what I want to do and if there is anyone on this list who can direct
me in the right direction either by instructions or by suggesting
appropriate software or just giving information of procedures and file types
concerned I would be appreciative. If no one can then is there a list
anyone can recommend where I can get the help I need.

To let you understand, I am totally blind and have no sight of any kind,
this might help in the kind of help that is offered.

I have two grandchildren and I want to compile some photographs of them,
around about 30. I want to be able to have each photograph display for
about 7 or 8 seconds then cross fade from one to the other in a linear
fashion, just like you get in those digital photo frames. I will bracket
these photographs with an attractive still photo obtained from a picture
library. Once I have organised the pics in the way I have described then I want to be able to back the pictures with a piece of music and then burn the
whole thing to DVD so it can be given to family and friends. What file
types would be suitable for this. The pictures would be JPG files and the music MP3. To what file type do I convert the JPG and MP3? This is a big ask but I do hope someone can point me in the right direction, or at least
let me know where to begin, apart from obtaining the photographs of my
grandchildren, that's the easy bit LOL. The part that is appropriate for
this list is getting the audio mixed with the visuals, I appreciate the
visuals are outwith the scope of this list. .Sorry this is so long and I
hope someone can help. Walter.
