1. to apply an effect to a single track, make it the only track selected (enter 
toggles whether a track is selected). Then select a time range, for example, if 
you press J, then shift+k, this selects a time range covering all the audio in 
the selected tracks. Then apply an effect - see the track table, moving the 
cursor, and selecting audio sections of the guide for more details.
2. mute and solo control which tracks are played back - see the more advanced 
editing section for more details.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to isolate tracks to add separate effects 
for each track. then play back all tracks  to hear how they sound. 
1. are their jaws scripts
