Yep, the noise reduction in Total Recorder is very good but I'd say the one in Goldwave is easier for anyone to set up but regardless of all that, Total Recorder and Goldwave can work hand in hand together and I myself have suggested in answer to questions about what tools anyone should have in their audio basket, Total Recorder and Goldwave are indeed "must have's".
