I have XP, which may be similar to XP Home in this way. If you go to the control panel, then file options, you will be able to associate file types with the application of your choice. The application you select becomes the default for those file types.
If XP Home looks like this but you still have difficulty following, please post again. I, or someone else if they answer first, can list the steps. -----Original Message----- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of John Melia Sent: Thursday, July 15, 2010 9:32 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: problems with winamp and windows media player I have both winamp and windows media player and I want winamp to be come my default player but I keep coming up with windows media player I know where the options are but can't uncheck the boxes.
