During recording system sounds are muted by default, I guess that would
include speech. But if not then the speech would go on the recording --
yay for hardware synths.

I would love to play with this program but a couple years ago when I
installed the latest version, I completely lost all sounds in my system. Had to install a Braille display without speech and use it to uninstall TR. Not
fun at all. An old Sound Computing article gave a fix for this, but the
version Dean was using was even older than the one I had. Can someone
convince me to try the newest version? (grin)

Hi, I have downloaded and installed this. I will be running it as a trial. I would be interested to find out if they've fixed an annoying bug where Total Recorder doesn't completely close even though alt+f4 is pressed. All I get
is a nonfunctioning window, with the filename (untitled by default),
followed by a dash, then Total Recorder. I can only kill it with Task
Manager or a log off/shut down/reboot.
