nolan i know in sound forge 8 you can make the changes within the preferences and options of sound forge as long as windows sees both sound cards both will come up in sound forge. chris -- annandale va Washington DC, Reagan National, Virginia Mostly Cloudy, 78.1°F( ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nolan Crabb" <ncr...@gmail.com>

Subject: Pointing Sound Forge 10 Pro to the Correct Sound Card

Hi, All,

It's my first time back on the list in a long time, and it's good to be
back. Here's a quick question:

I'm running Windows 7/64 in a Dell Latitude D830 laptop with a Sigmatel
on-board sound card. Last weekend, I purchased a SIIG USB sound card which
seems to work nicely. I want to be able to record in Sound Forge 10 using
the new SIIG USB card rather than the on-board audio. I'm assuming I have
to make those changes in the Windows 7 area, not in the preferences of Sound
Forge. Is that true?

Regards,

Nolan
