Be careful with the below.
You have to enable the microphone to listen to your playback device. To 
do so:
1. Open the Sound multipage dialogue box.
2. Ctrl+tab to the recording page.
3. Select your microphone, and click properties.
4. Ctrl+tab to the listen page, and check the first box.
5. Make sure the correct playback device is selected.
6. Click ok.
7. Click ok again.
Be careful as you could experience feedback or other undesirable 
effects, such as the audio being looped, as with the case if you 
selected stereo mix by mistake.
