Supposedly they are the same because I can rename a .A I F file to .A I F F and it plays OK. I have to check out some of the other .A I F renamed to .A I FF files I know I can play on other machines and see if there is a problem or difference with this sound card, which is just your average everyday Soundblaster like in the other machine.
