Hi, brian.
Perhaps you will want to consider acquiring a USB or inline audio mixer which would give you the added benefits of an external sound card and would enable you to mix audio from multiple input sources such as mics, external CD players, and USB turntables. I haven't researched it to suggest any particular brands or product models but I am considering making a mixing board purchase in the near future. I'll be following this convo thread with VERY KEEN INTEREST.
take care

Subject: External Soundcard.

Hi all,

I'm shortly hoping to make the leap to windows seven.

I do a lot of audio production and sound editing with my pc.

I am looking at obtaining a good quality external soundcard. The one I have been looking at is the
Creative x-fi surroundsound 5.1.

Is anyone using this card at the moment? or can anyone suggest anything better which may be better suited to what i'm looking for?

Many thanks,
Brian.
