I didn't have any trouble switching from one to the other, I suppose this was because i took to the Mac with an Open mind, yep a new system but no! I'm not on my own. Plenty of great tools and resources to help you including the built-in reference material and interactive tutorials for Voiceover, the numpad and keyboard commander which are customisable etc.
