Hi Samuel, to enable "what u hear", "stereo mix" or whatever it's called on windows 7: 1. Go to the recording page of the sound dialog, which you can open from start menu, or the the context menu of the volume icon in the notification area. 2. In the list of devices, by default disabled devices aren't shown, and stereo mix is disabled. To show disabled devices, open the context menu of any item in the list, and choose show disabled devices if it isn't checked. Stereo mix ( or whatever) should then appear in the list. To enable it, choose enable from its context menu (if it's already enabled, then disable rather than enable appears in the menu.)
Note that if "what you hear" doesn't appear in the list after setting the option to show disabled devices, then this may be because your current sound driver doesn't support it. You could try and find a more recent one for your computer/laptop/motherboard. David. original message: Hello everyone, does anyone know how to enable what you hear on Windows 7?
