DR-2d portable digital recorder is the first to
feature dual recording, ensuring that you end
the night with a great-sounding take instead of
a distorted mess. Dual recording means that it
records two files one at normal level and one
much softer so you still have a good mix if
things get too loud. You can also record with
both the built-in mic and the line input,
allowing you to mix the room sound together with
the board mix for a polished-sounding recording.
The DR-2d has a new low-noise built-in condenser
microphone, which you can record from any
resolution from compressed MP3 to full-range
96kHz/24-bit WAV file. It includes a 2GB SD card
to start recording right away, as well as a
wireless remote control, carrying bag and AA
batteries. Like other TASCAM recorders, you can
loop and slow down tracks without changing the pitch to learn new music.
