Hi,

to tell the truth there are various types of such programs there allowing users
to record the radio broadcast. But better than recording all the sounds that go
right from the sound card into some of the sound editors is one that I prefer
and warmly recommend to everybody and to my knowledge was widely discussed here
is Screamer-radio.
http://www.screamer-radio.com/
You can sellect stations out of thousands in Presets, kick your own live
streams on it if you manage to squeeze some out of your fave ones and this way
create the favorites on your own. This freeware application supports mp3, ogg,
aac, aac+ and wma streams and can record the stuff into either mp3 or ogg.

This application stores the streamed packets into the buffer so if you realize
you like the song but about a half of the song has expired, you can still hit
the record button and the whole song will get recorded because the
Screamer-radio has taken the first half of the ssong from the buffer as
outlined. Also it greatly and nicely connects some spotss that got paused due
to connection being slowed down so even if you hear some pauses or crackles
during the streamed production of a radio, in the file it's absolutely trimmed.

And in conclusion if a station puts metadata into their live streams, it can
split the tracks into separated files having the title of the artist and song.

Using Goldwave or any other sound editor for recording the stuff from the
radios is in my opinion pretty cumbbersome when having this excellent solution.

ps: I guess some BBC networks like 1 and maybe 2 does have live streams in
*.ram format that is the only one not being supported in Screamer-radio even
though there are some dll libraries there which could bbe compiled in it but
since David Zidar is kinda bussy there aren't any improvements there though for
now.

Predmet: Recordijng From Radio On Line

Hi List,

I am new to this list and would greatly appreciate your assistance on
the following topic.

I wish to record some interviews from on line radio programmes like
from the BBC etc. How can I do that? Can I do that with Gold Wave
which I have? Or do I require some other programme? If it is
possible to do this with Gold Wave I would be extremely grateful if
you could give me step by step instructions as to how to do
this. You could write me off list if you do not wish to clutter up
the list unnecessarily.
Otherwise please let me know any other programme which is capable of
doing such recordings.
Thanks and regards,

Akbar
