My view on the subject of the Rosetta Stone program is that it has no direct relevance to audio. It isn't an audio player or editor of any kind and doesn't work with audio in any way. I don't see it as being any different than a talking dictionary program, a talking Bible program or any program that might have audio or speech connected to it. It's been my experience on other e-mail lists that a slightly off topic message gets posted then the next thing you know comments start going all over the place with their content. I think people subscribe to this list for the sole purpose of reading and posting information directly related to audio hardware and software. If I start getting comments that I am too restrictive with the content of posts to this list then perhaps it can be opened up a bit. However, most comments I've received in the past indicate that keeping the content closely related to audio is what most people prefer. There are other lists where subjects such as the Rosetta Stone software would be appropriate.
