Forgive me for sounding stupid, but how does one listen to music with this
program. I've seen no reference to a player.

Only by listening. You can jump ahead or back with right and left arrows
or in bigger jumps with Page Down and page up.

You can manually split the file into tracks, going track by track.
Press B at the beginning of the track and then press N at the end of the
track. Press CTRL+E to save this selected track to a new file. You do
this for each track and you will have a separate MP3 file for each
track.
