Hi james,
Oh the Audegy brand has been fased out long time ago, so now it's called x-fi. There are quite afew good versions out now also with a nice break out box for building in to the computer, so you can connect all kind of gear through jacks and RCAs directly to the front of the computer.
The best of these is about $ 200.

Subject: Audigy Sound Cards

Hello List!

Back in early 2002, I purchased an Audigy Sound card for my desktop; I think it was the top of the line Audigy Card. I would like to know how if I can now get a current Audigy Card for my modern PC's. If possible, I would like for someone on the list to give me a few samples of the available Audigy Sound Cards on the market today so I can pick one up. I'd probably like to have an internal one, as I have not had too much success with USB External Sound Cards, especially in Skype, as soon as I switch the external USB sound Card on and use it in skype, skype features do not work, especially the phone calling feature; then when I try to use skype afterwards, the skype sound system is messed up. This is why I want an audigy internal sound card, as I never had these types of problems with internal cards.
