This is a general tutorial for recording with sound forge:

Check out Main menu archive and search for word "sound forge" and
you'll find some useful info on sound forge:
http://www.acbradio.org/pweb/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=19&MMN_position=30:29
Off the top of my head (Using SF 8):
1. launch sound forge,
2. press control N for new file and tab to make new file
configurations then press enter on Ok.
3. press control R to set up recording option.
4. press alt R to begin recording.
5. Press alt R again to stop recording.
6. you can check amount of time you're recording by using jaws cursor
and arrowing up 4 times from bottom up of screen.
7. For practice, you can press control N for new files as many times
as you want.
8. To dump all your recordings press alt F4 and answer no to whether
or not you want to save your files.
