Can you give more details? I don't understand what you want to extract from the music folder on your hard drive. Using Switch for example, I extract audio from AVI, WMV ..., and convert that into MP3's. Is that something like what you're talking about? If so, what program are you using? I have experience with Switch, Sound Taxi and Replay converter.
