Hi John and list,
After becoming sick of this Winamp error problem I ran an in-depth Google
search and discovered many sighted and blind Winamp users were also having
this problem. It then dawned on me too that this problem didn't start
happening until after installing IE8. I then tried renaming winamp program
files as specified in various blogs and forums but no go. I then uninstalled
version 5.35 of Winamp and installed most current version and the Winamp
memory error has disappeared completely. So I'm suggesting installing winamp
5.552 as I did and see if it works for you.

I also noticed something a little strange. When downloading and scanning
this Winamp installation file for viruses, Nod32 gave me the following
error:
NSIS - incorrect CRC checksum, the file may be damaged
I was desperate to get my beloved winamp back and ran the installer anyways,
and as I hit enter on "install" I heard the culprit file marked as
uninstalled--this was the file I was told to rename in the various winamp
forms I visited. thought I'd point out that jaws 9 seems to work pretty well
with this version of winamp in spite of warning. I've not tested out Jaws v
10 because its still riddled with bugs and not what I normally care to use
so have had no need to mess with it. I'm not sure what will happen to the
libraries you've mentioned though I doubt winamp will stop using them since
this is a useful feature.
HTH
Matthew

It looks like it's a Winamp 5.35 issue. I just installed IE8 and I'm
getting
the same error. I think I'll live with it though: an accessible library is
too important to me to give it up.

Hi Matthew,
I haven't had this problem but the first thing I'd try is upgrading to the
latest version of Winamp which at the moment is version 5.56. That is of
course unless you have a strong reason to stay with version 5.35.
There's no guarantee this will fix the problem but I think it is certainly
worth trying.
Regards Steve.

Ever since I installed Internet explorer 8.0 I seem to be having a

And indeed I do have to escape or hit enter on ok to close this message.
Have any of you had this problem? If so, how have you resolved this
issue?
I'm running Winamp 5.35 and JFW 9 (and 10 only if necessary).
