Jonathan and I were getting into a discussion about how it's possible to mute the output of a Creative Labs SB card yet still record with it.I distinctly remember having done this years ago with other SB and SB Live cards. I also thought it could be done with the BC80, but I can't remember for love nor money how to do it! The idea is to mute or suppress the output from coming through the speakers but being able to record. If anyone knows how to effect this, please let me know as it's really cutting into my Skype usage. Symptom: I am using line-in attached to a mixer attached to a microphone. If I mute the playback volume in any way, what gets recorded is also muted. It used to be that the playback level could be lowered or muted entirely and the incoming audio would still record because the record level was up.
