It's the new Lame encoder. Saving files to WAV is as fast as ever but if I save to mp3 it takes at least twice as long as it used to. Wish there was a way to go back to the earlier Lame encoder but the new Goldwave won't recognize it and it asks you to get the new one.

Hi folks,

Is it me, or, is Goldwave becoming slower over time.

I am doing some batch conversions on a PC with a quad core processor, loads of memory and a 0 hardware RAID Array and still, takes as long to complete the job as it once did on my vallient old P4 box.

Is it GW or, is it the Lame encoder or what!

Opinions?
