I have a cord running out of the audio jack on the laptop connected to a
splitter which connects to the line in plugs on my amp. I take this further
by running a stereo chord from the amp's line out to my wireless broadcaster
that my buddy who works at Brookstone's gave me. So I get sound from my
stereo speakers wired to the amp, on my wireless headphones, and my wireless
portable speaker. Other than the fact that my girlfriend dislikes me
walking around the house with headphones on, it's great! I don't know the
conventional name for the splitter, but any Radio Shack or electronics store
will know what you want.
Cheers,
Peter
