Joy,
Lessed you are using a piece I am not familliar with, USB headsets act as their own soundcards, not as relays for other soundcards. That function, as far as I know, can be done with "Virtual audio repeater" (Google it).
Thanks,
Nick

Subject: USB headsets in conjunction with multiple sound cards

In consideration of a possible new headset for the pc, and recently checking out a USB headphone, I heard that the headset, when connected to the pc, disables the speakers. However, I'm seeing this on a pc with just one sound card. Is there a way, when working with multiple sound cards, to determine which sound card you wish to hear through the head set, or does it play both sound cards through there, and are both sound devices disabled where speakers are concerned?
