Hi all.

Bye the way, I am looking for a low end USB sound card to use to run Jaws v10 so I can use my Sound Blaster strictly for music. Also I'm looking for an external soundcard and any ideas would be appreciated. I am also looking for something CHEAP. Thanks in advance.

Hi. I bought my Delta a month ago and I really haven't found is software to be tremendously accessible. That being said, maybe it's me to some degree. I

would call it workable and usable, but not exceptionally excessible. Now
then, the sound quality? That is just about as good as it gets. I just wish I could figure out how to monitor recordings while using it. Any thoughts on

that from anyone?

I use an M-Audio Delta soundcard too. the mixer interface is very
accessible.

Has to be said though that this was bought a few years ago so I cannot
say if the software these days is as screen-reader friendly. I can
report that an M-Audio firewire box I have on the other computer isn't
blessed with such
vi-friendly software and is near impossible for a screen reader to
interact
with.

Don't think you could get much impression of what these things sound
like via an uploaded example. I'd say it is pretty well near as good
as it gets for a card aimed at the Pro-audio market.

All the best.

Ray.

Most peop on the midi-mag list use the delta cards because they say
that the interface is more accessible. I went with the delta line in
my studio.

Someone else may know if things have changed.

Judy
