The .cda file format is the correct type for making audio CDs for playing back on any regular CD player. It just means CD Audio format. A .WAV file won't play in an audio CD player. So just let Nero burn the CD with the cda file format and you should have a playable audio CD.

I want to convert .mp3 back to audio to listen on my car audio player. I
attempt to do this in Nero 5 and get a.cda extension which only Nero will
play back on my computer Winamp 5.35 will not play.
I don't see a .wav format selection to choose from. What AM I missing here?
Thanks
