I am wanting to record from the line output of an amplifier onto my ASUS Eee
1000H notebook. The notebook only has a microphone in
socket, so if I use a standard lead, it overloads. I have only tried it with
Sound Recorder so far, but will install other
recording software if I can fix the input problem.

Does anyone know where I can get a resistance lead which drops the output level
to that suitable to connect to a microphone input?
I have tried the equivalent of Radio Shack here in Australia, but without
success so far. If I can't get a lead, perhaps I can
purchase a USB sound card with line in.

Has anyone tried recording on an ASUS Eee 100h with Sound Forge or Goldwave,
and if so, were you successful?

Thanks,
Barry Chapman
