Hi all,

Can anyone suggest a product which will meet my needs.

I am wanting a digital recorder which I can use to record meetings, etc. It
must:

1. Be able to record in MP3 format up to at least 192 KBPS.

2. Have the facility for recording to a line in socket as well as stereo
microphones.

3. Have a headphone output for listening. A separate line out would also be an
advantage.

4. Be able to connect to a PC via an USB port, where the files appear in a
drive on the PC so that they can be copied using Windows
Explorer in both directions.

5. Have basic editing facilities, e.g. cut, copy and paste.

6. Have at least 8 gig of storage.

7. Have manual volume control (preferably with a peak limiter) as well as
automatic volume control. With the automatic control, it
should preferably have buffer ahead checking so that the volume can be adjusted
without distorting on loud sounds.

8. Operate from mains power via a power pack or on batteries.

9. And most important, be fully or close to fully accessible to a totally blind
person.

Price is not really an issue. If there isn't anything which exactly satisfies
my needs, but there is something which comes close,
please let me know.

Thanks,
Barry Chapman
