Hi Albert, I tried all of that but without success. There is no compelling need for me to upgrade to version 5.54. When version 5.55 or whatever is next comes out, I'll try again. Perhaps whatever is causing the problem will be fixed by then. Hi Barry, I'm running this version without difficulty. Try uninstalling everything including deleting the Winamp folder. Reinstall it and the plug-in you like and see if that works. Sometimes those plug-ins cause problems when installing new versions over top of them. I kept getting errors with Winamp 5.54 and the way I solved it was to go back to version 5.53. Prior to doing this, I had a couple of attempts at re-installing version 5.54, but whenever I tried to configure the SqrSoft Crossfade plugin, Winamp would crash. I don't know if there is a conflict with JAWS or what, but I didn't have any success with Winamp 5.54.
