I recorded a wave file, standard ready-for-CD-type wave file parameters, but I wasn't watching the clock and let it run over 2gb in size (ran to 2.28gb to be exact). Now, when I want to open it in Sound Forge Version 7, I get an error that tells me it can't do it. Is it because the file is too big? Was this fixed in Version 8? Should I use a file-splitter to cut it down to manageable sized pieces, and if so, which one? Or will some other editor handle a big file like this properly, and if so, which one?
