Oh, I didn't say you wouldn't get *any* compression, or if I did, I totally misspoke, but what I should have said, meant to have said, was that any compression you get won't be that much, if at all. Sounds to me like your podcast file was a very high bit rate, because the higher the bit rate, the lower the compression.
