Yes, the Braille Plus from American Printing House for the Blind is a notetaker with a hard drive, address book, media player that handles a number of file formats, bookshelf that handles NLS books, bookshare, Braille *.brf, MS Word *.doc, text *.txt,. The unit also has web browser, RSS, email, calendar/planner, stopwatch, several games, and more. The digital recorder does a fair job with its' internal mike, but with an external stereo mike it will do a fantastic job, and includes the ability to change bit rate and sampling rate. It can record in MP3 or WAV.
