Hi Ok, let's clear this up once and for all. If you aren't using the computer, there's no way you'd ever be able to use JAWS or any other screenreader for this kind of thing.
If you're refering to the 1 GB model of the Zen stone, you can use the button on the back of the unit to switch between folders. if pushed all the way to the right, the player is in shuffle mode, which obviously, means that it plays all files on the player in random order. pushing it to the left means that it's in regular mode like normal. If you push the button to the left once more, and you have multiple folders with files in them, the player switches to the next folder and begins playing the first file in the series, or at random depending on how you have the player set to do. but no, no scripts at all are needeed for this, even when it's attached to the computer. It just plane does not need them, period.
