High George,
There are quite a few audio editors out there that you can use.
I found that DC7 does the best job of converting cassettes to MP3 or 
whatever audio file type.
But that's what I use.
You also have Gold Wave Sound Forage and many others.
I don't remember the URL's to any of these audio editors at this time, but I 
will find them and post them later if someone else doesn't beat me to it.
