well, yes, but if you capture anything, and I do mean anything other than the noise, including background noise from an audience, which is not noise, odd results will be obtained. Therefore, if at all possible, listen to your recording and select part of that contains only noise, at least potentially half a second, enough to sample and let your computer do the work. I have had huge luck and fortune by doing it this way with both GW and SF's NR plug-in, but only if noise is selected. If anything else, then poor results are obtained.
