Hi everyone. I am attempting to get my DVR connected to my computer. I know that I need to enable the audio-in on my sound card. The problem is, Vista has done some really weird stuff with sounds, and I can't figure out what I need to do to make this work. I have a Creative SB X-Fi sound card. I've made sure that all possible devices are showing under the playback tab of sounds in Control Panel. I can see the line-in option under the recording tab, but under playback all I see are two different speaker options, one for my regular speakers and one for my USB headset, and some other device that I'm not sure about. It appears though that I can only have one device selected at a time, so I can't get playback from multiple sources. Is this correct?
Finally, if anyone has one of these sound cards, I'm not quite sure which jack is the line-in jack. There are four plugs, and I'm used to the SB cards that have 5, so I'm not totally sure which jacks are there and what they each do. Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.
