Hi everyone! I've noticed over the past few weeks that any time I attempt to convert text or other audio files to mp3, my laptop randomly shuts down in the middle of the process. When I turn it back on, it goes through a scandisk, and boots regularly. This is highly irritating, as I'm unable to encode any mp3's on my system without this happening. I've tried every program I can think of, including text aloud and DSpeech for text to audio conversion, and goldwave, switch, easy CDDA audio extractor, and replay converter for conversion from one audio format to another. The same problem occurs whenever I try to convert mpg video files to ogg vorbis either with goldwave or replay converter. I am completely stumped as to the cause or solution for this problem. Any assistance which anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. Allison
