I returned my Sony's and upgraded to a similar set of Shure buds in part because I wanted the hard carrying case but in retrospect I can't say they sound twice as good or anything near that. Oh well, the hard travel case will last a long time.

These are also known as phontopia earbuds. You can get them on line if you search them out but the shack sales them for about $5.
