That actually depends on the type of cartridge the turn table uses.  There are 
some 
p-mounted cartridges where the needle just slides in.  Other cartridges I've 
used the 
needle pops in. Look at the one you have and see.  Or see how the cartridge is 
removed and take it in with you when yu go to purchase your needle.
