Hello, Go to "preferences and then arrow down to video. Tab until you get to the checkbox that says "display video window when video playback begins" and make sure the checkbox is checked. There are also other checkboxes that let you control whether or not the video window closes automatically when the video clip is stopped etc. HTH.
